Jeanne Helen Kraft Keiser of Lansdale passed away peacefully, Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, in her home, after a long battle with colon cancer. She was 51.

She was the beloved wife of Kenton W. Keiser Jr.

Born in Philadelphia, Jeanne graduated from Coatesville Area High School in 1977 and continued her education at Temple University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1981.

She was active in the marching bands of both Coatesville and Temple, where she played the baritone horn and made lifelong friends.

She began her career with a market research position with Mattel Toys, in Hawthorne, Calif., and later as vice president with DataTactics in Bala Cynwyd. During this time, she traveled to 49 states and many countries.

She was a compassionate dog lover and often rescued stray dogs from local highways always carrying dog biscuits in her glove compartment just in case.

After marrying Ken in 1996, Jeanne was blessed with two daughters, Grace and Katie, who she loved dearly. Jeanne then devoted her life to caring for her family, volunteering with Gwynedd Square Elementary School activities, and helping with Girl Scouts when her battle with cancer allowed. She enjoyed watching her daughters' Nor-Gwyn softball and T-ball games and Upward basketball games. Jeanne was very proud of her daughters' many activities and achievements.

Jeanne was an active member of Sanctuary United Methodist Church in North Wales where, over the years, she was treasurer of the Alberta Finch Circle, and United Methodist Women group, taught Sunday school, coordinated the Sundayschool program and Hanging of the Greens service, rang in the bell choir, and assisted in the children's choirs.

Jeanne will be remembered for her generous personality, her love of family and friends, her smile, intelligence, and amazing wit.

In addition to her husband and her daughters, Grace and Katherine, at home, Jeanne is survived by her mother, H. Jean Kraft (Ochs) of Aston, Pa.; stepfather, Henry C. Gritz of West Chester; and her sister, Susan Kraft Robb and her husband, Lindsay, of Pray, Mont. Other extended family members also survive her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeanne's memorial service, at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, in Sanctuary United Methodist Church, 1346 E. Prospect Ave., North Wales, PA 19454 (Sanctuarychurch.org).

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Utah Educational Savings Plan set up for her daughters, Grace and Katherine.
